Small rust spots on painted bumper
Just noticed a few small rust/missing paint spots on my CPO 16 SCREW painted front bumper. I know it happens, more concerned about preventing it from spreading, cracking, etc. Do you just grab a paint pen and fill it in? Get rid of the rust first? Leave it? (Lol)
I had a 15, I know the chip easily, but would like to fix/prevent further issues if possible. (And possibly throw on a clear bra, but holy expensive Batman!)

You would think with an aluminum truck they would have used something more rust resistant for the bumpers?

Yep, had that on my 2015 Magnetic Sport Edition. This time on my 2018 Ruby Red SE I had a clear bra applied. A little pricey at $400, but nothing on the front is going to chip or rust and you don't even know its there.

I had some spots on my previous truck. Ended up being rail dust. Could that be what your seeing?

If you're willing to take the time, the dupli-color pen would repair that. I think to do it properly you need to fill the hole until you can sand it flat then hit it with the clear coat that is supplied in the same pen.

This is exactly what you are seeing. I purchase 10 to 12 Ford Fleet vehicles every year all in Oxford White. This is where you will really see the rail dust show up. This can happen on any make of vehicle transported by rail not just Ford. Work with the dealership and they will take care of it. On my fleet vehicles I stopped dealing with it years ago and it has never perforated the paint or been problem. I can understand why there would be concern where you spent hard earned money on your truck. Again, talk with your dealership.

Just the reason I went chrome bumpers instead of the sport. I added the grille and the console to get the fake sport without all the rusted bumper in 10 years look. No joke.
