Default Smacked wheel on curb, now steering wheel is off center!

Trying to make a hard left to exit the Tim Hortons drive through during a snow storm, truck went straight and smacked my front right wheel pretty hard on the curb. Now the steering wheel is way off, like almost 90 degrees.

Can this be corrected with a front end alignment? I'm taking it in next week. Truck drives fine but feels like it's pulling slightly to the right.

Howdy!

Oye - sir, I woon't drive it much until ye git 'er inspected. An impact severe enough to offset the wheel 90 degrees suggests something more than a mere misalignment.

Good luck- please keep us posted, aight?

Cheers!

My money would be on something is either bent or broken. I'd not drive it until it's been checked and corrected.

Good luck, and hopefully it won't be too much out of pocket.

It needs to go onto an alignment rack, but you'll almost certainly be replacing components. Best guess is that you bent a tie rod, which wont' be terribly expensive. If you tweaked a control arm or your knuckle things may get expen$ive.

Sorry to hear of the damaged truck though, it could have been worse!

Get it checked soon as you will be wearing the tires driving. On those hits the most likely thing to get damaged; control arm, tie rod and possibly a bent rim.

You're probably going to need more than an alignment to fix that. Sorry to hear.

Uhhyy not what I wanted to hear

However I think I was exagerating when I said 90 degrees off on the steering wheel, here is a pic while at a stop sign with the wheels straight:
