i am enjoying this site a lot. When I had a Ram Cummins, I was on Turbo Diesel Register and I remember reading all the horror stories about the then new 6.7 Cummins and still bought one in 2007 (first year they switched from 5.9 to 6.7).. Then I bought another one, a 2010. I drove both trucks a combined 170,000 miles from 2007-2012 with zero engine problems. Then I drove a 2013 Ram 1500 with the first year 8-speed tranny and the proven Hemi 5.7 for 6 years and 126K miles with ZERO drivetrain problems. Compared to the horror stories I read on the TDR and the various Ram Hemi forums in the last 12 years, the stuff I’m seeing on this F150 forum is not as frequent or severe. Plus, Ford builds three times as many F150s as FCA builds Ram trucks. From my time on this Forum (and other F150/F-series forums),I believe the problem rate is lower with Ford and the problems overall are not as severe. Whether it’s an F150, Silverado, Ram, Toyota or a Rolls Royce...some are going to have problems. When human beings design, build and program the assembly robots some things will inevitably go wrong. No problems with my F150 yet, but the information I get on this forum will leave me much better equipped to deal with problems if they occur, properly maintain my truck, and help me get the most out of it. Want to get really depressed? Turn on the news.

I enjoyed to read every post by some happy campers here, but quit on expecting much from everybody else as it's easier to whine about their truck than write about the positives!

If you feel that you owe your truck a good testimony of how great it is to you, visit and post there and just follow the other threads with good reasons to captivate your interest.
Cheers!
Thanks, I just posted on that thread. Lots of happy owners.

want to have fun, get into the members build sections. Talk with the peeps on there. Always great conversations and a lot of really amazing work is done by a lot of folks on those threads. -- just be careful as it can be expensive!

That's funny - I agree. How boring if all the posts are about how much I love my truck (which I do).

You literally just said, "Im only coming back here if I have a problem" ....
Uhhhh.... EXACTLY! That is what people do on car forums! S you are going to see threads mostly about problems and issues... you just said it yourself!

No one posts on a car forum that "My truck is great, no issues" ... I mean, people do that jokingly, but seriously, why would people post that and/or respond to it?
People post about things they are trying to fix or improve upon... that is the nature of car forums. Go to ANY forum, it is all the same.

And, its not "Depressing'... IMO, it is actually VERY ENCOURAGING that there is a large group of people with a common interest that want to HELP others with that same common interest.

Well it is a truck forum thus attracting a certain segment of our population. Its like trying to sit in a truck stop restaurant and not hear anybody cussing!

That said I find there are a number of "participating lurkers" who seem to take great pleasure in attacking others who don't share their opinions.
I use a lot of humor to describe my experiences and to some thats offensive.
Then they come on here and will respond to my posts in an inappropriate manner and will make attempts at berating or ridiculing me.
I made the post on here about all the engine rattle threads and in true form another member came in and insulted me...again!

Well cudos to the moderators as they removed his initial reply and my response to him was removed as well.

Difference of opinions are okay, I don't know why so many on here are offended by someone who may see something in a different light.

10 out of 10 people are going to die and if you can't laugh at yourself just let me know...I'll laugh at you!

Honestly, I can relate to OP somewhat. Every time I would go to enjoy my 2018 F150, I'd come on on here, see issues people would talk about...and then realize my truck had the same issue lmao. I definitely enjoy the truck much more when I become part of the 99% of F150 owners that don't know about this site, than when I visit this site...But yet I still check it everyday...I guess I'm retarded..
