I called Sirius and after staying on hold, providing my VIN and personal information (thinking that they would sort it out), I was told that Travel Link was not included in my trial. Sync says I'm only subscribed to radio as well...My Ford Sales Manager says that I should have received a free trial of Travel Link too and to call Sirius to get it sorted.

Before I call them again:

Has anyone really received a free trial of Travel Link with their new truck? If there's no option for a free trial, I'm not sure I feel like paying $6.99/mnth (CAD) to trial it myself...

MY15 is a XLT 302A it has Factory Voice command Navigation, MY16 Mustang GT has Factory voice command Navigation............MY18 is a Lariat it has Factory Voice command Navigation.....All 3 have the 5 year free subscription. As I stated ^^^ The Truck must be equipped with Navigation.

Factory Navigation is a $795 option available with the 302A package.

Yeah we get screwed here in Canada and do not get this. And the price of it is crazy. That 6.99 price you see is not what the cost is per month for it. If you negotiate a price for Sirius radio like 6 months for $30 then you can not even add the travel link to it. You have to have higher Sirius plan to be able to add travel link and it is stupid priced. They will not give you a free trial, nogatiate a lower price on travel link or anything. Not worth it. Now that I updated my sync 3 and have Android auto I just use Waze.

In Canada you can't pay for Travel link while on any trial so for most of us it's useless to begin with, but you can get travel link afterwards. If you live in Canada and your 6 month Sirius trial is near up, let it expire and wait a month and you'll be given a promo offer. I just went through the renewal process. Here are screen shots of what Sirius in Canada pricing is after your free 6 months with a new vehicle purchase ends. Spoiler alert! You would be a fool to ever pay for travel link.

We call it the CRTC, it's a bureaucratic barrier designed to **** everyone off. If unlimited cellular data plans existed here (which they don't), there would be no valid reason to ever buy Sirius. Since the average 10GB data plan is $150 a month here, streaming any music service over a smart phone is unreasonable most of the time.

I have Sirius and get it every 6 months on the $30 promo plan. That's worth it but the crazy regular prices for anything are not. I have seen travel link and traffic in action and it's not bad but there is next to no coverage here and no where near wothe the cost. I ended up scoring the 10GB plan for $60 with Telus when they had the big deal on so I use Waze all the time and going to stream music.

Just a slight sidetrack to your Waze point: The one thing I was looking fwd to on Waze was seeing fuel prices on the map, like on the phone app itself when you search for fuel but that's not the case unfortunately. Also, its weird to see where ALL the McDonalds/Taco Time's/Wendy's are PREDOMINANTLY. Just thinking out loud.

Yeah it's not perfect by any means. But a better option to travel link.

I have the Telus 12 GB data promo for the same price, but dont fool yourself. $60 is the price of just the data, we need the voice plan too and they upped the price of voice plans to make up for all those deals. Im guessing your actual monthly cell bill is close to $150 too, not $60?
