Default Simple, modern 18" rims

I just bought a 2018 Lariat Supercrew 3.5EB 502A etc. etc.

I love the truck, but I can't stand these blinged-out 20" chrome rims it came with. These don't belong on a truck. I'd like to grab some 18s, but I'm not really a fan of the aftermarket rims I'm finding. They all either look like they're trying too hard to look tough, or like they came straight from 1985.

I'm looking for something pretty close to the factory size and offset, in matte silver or preferably black. I should probably just grab a set of 18" takeoffs from eBay, but I'm wondering if there are any good aftermarket choices I'm missing.

Good luck, the trend witth aftermarket seems to be to make them look as ridiculous as possible. Hope you find something...

I agree. I don't like the new 20" oem offerings, except the dark tarnished SE wheels and the dark painted aluminum.

Awww man, too bad mine are 17". Just took these off to replace with aftermarket wheels and 37" tires.

Just out of curiosity for other people seeing your post, is this the style you were referring to (in matte silver anyway, I know you said you preferred black).

OP where are you located? I'm in South Florida and I have a set of 2015 OEM 18's in silver. They're spotless

Well, if you are near Oklahoma I would gladly trade you my 18" sport wheels and tires for your factory 20". Right under 3k miles with the factory markings still on them.

I think the 18" wheels from the Lariat 500A package look good on a truck - understated, brushed chrome...

Personally I'd go with a set of these off a 2018. I saw a set go for 599 shipped. You'll get that and some for your factory 20s. I don't think you get a simple, clean more modern style. I like the factory look on my truck as well.

I feel the same way. I have 18" PVD wheels on my 2016 Lariat and really don't like them. At least the 18" size is right, but the chrome looks is wrong IMO. I've been looking half-heartedly for replacements for a while, but most aftermarket options have too aggressive an offset for me. I don't care for the look of tires extending past the bodywork. XD and ATX have a few wheels with closer-to-factory offset. Another option is OEM Raptor take-offs. That's a nice looking wheel without the bling and they seem to be readily available. Not sure about fitment without lift though.

I've been wanting to start a similar thread. I really like to stay with an OEM look but would love black wheels. Most black aftermarket truck wheels seem so "bro" to me.
Would also like to keep more of a professional look since my truck is also my business advertisement.

My Tacoma had the TRD 4runner wheels which I loved since they looked OEM and were black.

The least blingy looking black wheels I have found are the black OEM Ford 6 spoke 20" and the Method Roosts.
