My point.... and a VERY valid point is no one on Fuelly has to post what they are doing with the truck so the average MPG is worthless. How much are they towing or what is the payload they haul around on a daily basis. The samples for all vehicles sold for all types and makes are a small sample... kind of makes it all invalid or not very useful
You can reference it but its not bible.

It is just an average and well, averages average out. Some people get more, some people get less. It is a pretty good reference point for all around use, or should I say average use.
If you are getting 5 mpg more than average, then more power to you.

2015 2.7L you have 59 trucks how many were sold..... you get my point.

Ah the HET. Rode in those while my M1A1 was being transported around back in my Army days. Yeah, those tow 70 ton tanks.

I see 82 vehicles for 2002, much higher than 11.
Say what you like, but across all vehicles posted they are historically very close in average from year to year and I am sure you will find the same here for the 2.7. Some will slightly increase some will slightly fall behind.
If you are getting much better than average on yours then I suggest you join Fuelly and help increase the average for the 2.7 engine and give a more accurate picture of the average mpg.

I was one out of eleven then
Just traded it last month.... tend to hold on to them 9 to 15 years. It's an eye opener when they tend to double in price between trucks
