Ungeneer for broke stuff
I saw those and they are a plug-n-play jumper installed in the trailer circuit. On 2015+ F150 trucks with the tow option like mine the truck will think it's always towing.
Here's one of those previous threads I mentioned with links to wiring diagrams.

ARE includes something similar for the installers but it's not very clear. In short, it says to wire from the front of the truck.

That's exactly the paper I was referring to but crisper. The copy my shop got looked like it was the 4th generation of copies of previous copies.

After months of reading and convincing myself I think I'm going to order a Leer XR tomorrow. My brands that I was considering were Leer, ARE, and SnugTop but the Leer shop that I'm dealing with seems to have stellar customer service...especially compared to the shops I inquired about with the other two brands.
I think the Leer Locker is ultimately what made my decision...that thing just seems awesome.
Any tips or head's up that I should know about before putting my deposit down? I read one that the online coupons need to be presented at the beginning and not at pickup but not sure if there are other things I should know.

Somethin' Bout a Truck...
^^^Looks sweet. I wish they eliminated the rear handle completely to keep it clean like the side windows. I thnk with the electronic lock/keyless entry it should either just pop open, or after you unlock it you should just have to push on it to release it, like a bathroom cabinet mirror, etc. I dunno... just an idea to clean things up even more.

Well I found out yesterday how they were able to get the install done so quickly. The ahole tapped the rear light. This was even after I was told they were tapping the wire in the kick panel.
Oh well, if gonna do it, do it right, so going to add that to my list since I am going to run 10Gauge from the battery to the rear, might as well add the brake light to the list.

Just picked up a cap this weekend. Still needs to be painted to match, but once it's done I'll be $1300 into it. Much better than the $3500 quote from the local dealer.
Has anyone had the Windows on the cap tinted? Did the Windows have to be removed?

I was also wondering about tinting the windows when mine gets here (which SHOULD be this week!)
But man, after looking at those new ones again. I'm pretty mad that my dealer didn't mention any new models coming out. I think the near rear glass and e-lock would have sold me to wait.
