This cap was ordered through a dealer here in southern Ontario, Canada. It was just over $1800 CAD with tax, about $1400 USD.

There's no benefit in buying one new and paying premium

My last three trucks have all had used caps.......never did I pay more than $500 each time

If you can find a used one for a 2016 that would be the way to go, but those are not easy to find. It took weeks of searching to find one for my 14 with a 5.5 bed, could find all kinds for the 6.5 bed, and I paid $500 for it. Been looking for a used one for my new 16, not having luck at all.

Got a quote on a new ARE with the options I like, and it was just under $2K.

Same here. Been looking for months for a used cap for the 6.5' bed on my truck. Lots out there for pre-2015 trucks, not one for 2015-2016. None of the dealers around here have any new ones to fit the newer trucks either. What's up with that??

Yeah, looked for a used one and all I can figure is people don't sink 2k into a cap then sell them in a year... most people keep vehicles 3 years or longer, so one would be lucky to find a cap for a 15+

That was my dilemma completely. 15'+? Good luck finding a used cap, at least until 2018 when the boys leases run up.
