I hope that some dsy I can get to a point in my life to where I have enough free time to worry about how long the porter at the dealership left my truck idling.

I wouldn't waste my time calling them. If they did do something they shouldn't have, they probably wouldn't admit to it anyway.

I doubt they did anything. If you are really worried about it set up a dash cam or something. If you had a Raptor I would probably be more paranoid.

i work construction and was doing a job at an open car dealership. their detail guys would clean the inside and then leave the cars running all day with the heat blasting to dry out the interiors

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't get the mileage before dropping it off. Honestly, I was really more curious than concerned and wasn't expecting to see that low of a bar. A test drive is (supposed) to be part of the PA state inspection. In thinking about it, it would be pretty risky to conduct a high speed test drive for the technician considering the potential for an accident or getting a ticket.

Referencing the Porsche scene in Ferris Buehler, was a bit of embellishment....... hopefully it added a chuckle to your day.

Polar Bear out.

Your paper work should have mileage in and mileage out. You don't have to record it yourself.

While you didn't get the mileage the dealer did, the in and out mileage is printed on the service invoice.
