Not sure about the hopping and skipping, but have read about others having this issue. Possibly only a problem on the 5.5' beds? Have read that some with the hellwig say its a 100% improvement, and others say its not a big change. If its bothering you that much, I would give the Sway Bar a try.
Or you could save your money for a little longer and swap out the rear shocks. Ya know, do something that has demonstrably helped in every case, instead of something that has worked for about half the people who have tried it.
I've said this is some of the other myriad threads on this subject. Every pickup I've ever owned has done this. I don't find it anymore pronounced in my 16 F150.

I have felt this on my 16 XLT SCREW 6.5' FX4 a few times. And I honestly believe this is not inherently a Ford issue but a truck characteristic. I also felt it on my 05 Scab 6.5 a few times.
With the bed being light and a lot of weight over the front of the truck you may feel this going over a bigger road seam or bump. Mine hasn't been so bad that I am concerned, but then again my truck also vibrates and I chalk that up to it being a truck.
Ford does not offer E-rated tires from the factory on F-150's.
Not looking to start an argument, but my 2015 F-150 Supercrew has factory Load E Goodyears. It was originally a Canadian truck though so that might be why? Regardless, I hate them and am experiencing the same horrible ride and hopping.
A good example is every day on the way home, on a 50 mile an hour Rural Road, straight away uphill, I always hit a small utility patch. Holding the steering wheel straight, the back end wiggles quickly back and forth so bad you really need to be paying attention. Even kicks the cruise control off. Maybe it's a 5.5' bed thing. I'm going to try Fox 2.0 shocks thanks to a great deal from site vendor Stage3Motorsports.

I've got the hop , ands it's dangerous. Traveling at fwy speeds , it has launched Me sideways into the next lane.
15 Scab 6.5 bed ,max tow, 2X , Platinum, for whatever those options tell Us in relation to how ford chooses spring rates.
Deaver Springs , a local spring shop , has figured that the truck is oversprung, and under dampened. They recommended better shocks first , to see how that works.
