I conducted real life test by replacing the Fox's w/ Icons. The Icons made the ride very rough. I put the Fox's back on and sold the Icons.

One of my Fox 2.0 is leaking oil pretty bad down the shaft after 12000 miles/15months. I called their customer service and they said I could ship it in at my expense & they would rebuild for $75. I can order a new one for 99 online, or a Bilstein 5100 for 70 ish. What would you do?

Buy a KYB for $49 from Rockauto? My faith in Bilstien has fallen after only 30K and having them go soft. I can collapse them with one hand and little effort where out of the box I had to lean on them to collapse. I can easily put it into the bottom bracket with one hand now.

Love my 5100 bilsteins. For pot hole / rough roads look for a larger body shock as it can handle more heat. Nice thing about the cheaper monotube shocks (5100) is you just chuck them when you need replacement. Higher end shocks like Kings, some fox and bills could be rebuilt, but unless you have a spare set to toss under your truck you will have down time. Pay to play, but you generally get what you pay for.

Whoa.

Places that do not support their products do not get my financial support by buying any more of their products... ever! my 2¢

I just replaced the rear shocks that came with my 6 inch zone lift with Fox 2.0. Best thing I could have done, I love how it rides now. The old shocks were toast! I could compress them and they wouldn't come back without me pulling them out. The Fox shocks are 10 times better, at least for my ride IMO.

Warranty terms are right on their site. We also don't know more than what the guy said here. Fox has plenty of happy owners out there just like Bilstein.

But if you're willing to believe one internet guy's experience...then go ahead. Might as well stop buying Ford too given that logic.

I did not mention any product by name. but I do have a personal list of items/companies I will never do business with again, based on my own personal experience. Once they make me pick up the soap, I'm done!
