I had Blizzaks on my 2014, and they were excellent in snow, not so much on ice, but not many tires are any good on ice. They got decent mileage too, I could have gone 3 seasons, or roughly 40K miles before they needed replacing. They went with the 14 when it got totaled(hence the not so good on ice comment).

Will see how well the Goodyear Wrangler LT's are in snow, but will need weight in the back for sure since they are NOT snow tires.

I have a 2016 now with the Hankooks. I still have the Duratracs I took off my 15 lease. They are 265/70/17. 15000 miles on them and still a lot of tread left

Default Toyo Observe GSi5 winter

Toyo Observe GSi5 winter
Awesome traction in ice and snow. Been using them on all my vehicles. A little expensive but worth the safety.

I live in suburban Ottawa and our truck is the family vehicle so it gets driven in the worst conditions all winter. I've run the new stock all-season tires on my 2010 XLT 4x4 and 2016 Lariat 4x4 for winters each with no problems. We leave the Lariat in 4A all winter and used 4H on the XLT when we had snow.

I bought winter wheels and Champiro snows for the XLT after the stocks started to wear down. My Ford dealer had a deal on the wheel+tire set so I didn't bother searching for an ideal tire but the Champiros worked well on the XLT and really well last winter on the Lariat (they match up really well with 4A). I could run the Lariat with all-seasons but since I have the winter wheels I will switch over for the worst stretch of winter.

I don't see the point of adding weight to your bed if you have a 4x4.

There is a truck down the street from my house that still has snow studded tires on it! We really don't get enough snow to warrant the need/use for them.

Northern Ontario guy here, you may want to check out Nokians. In my experience, they are just awesome in the snow and on ice. They are a bit pricey but worth it. You can buy them at Kal Tire. You may also want to think about running your 20s in the winter. The winter tire selection for them will be limited and will add quite a bit of expense. I run 18s in the winter and one advantage of them over the 20s would be if my wife were ever to 'hop' a curb or something, there is more tire to protect the rim.
