I bought my first F-150 over 2 years ago (16 XLT 302A 4x4 screw) and loved it very much however I wanted a few different options so I traded up in September to a 18 XLT sport screw 4x4 and am really happy now. Love the center console, 10 speed and nav which I didn't have before. So far so good.. Done a few upgrades since then (STX grille, mats, tint, etc) and am extremely pleased.
Before (16 XLT)
New 18 Sport

Veteran, retired Navy..
Ordered my truck on 25 May 2017, could have ordered an 18 as the order banks were open.
Things I avoided by ordering a 17.
1. 10 speed auto.
2. Auto stop/start......( I know you can turn it off )
3. Tailgate with a big F150 stamped in it.
After owning ( 3 ) Rangers, stepping up to a F150 was the right move.
.
Lariat, Scab, 501A, 5.0, tailgate step, moonroof, Sport Appearance Pkg., drop in bed-liner, wheel well liners.

My 2015 (see sig,) that I had owned for 3-1/2 years has been awesome! Only time at the dealer is for oil changes.

We got our first Screw in 2001 when they came out, and now are on our 5th. Always liked Ford over Chevy/Dodge and never regretted the decision. Currently we have a lease on a 16 XLT, Cowboy's Edition, and just got an 18 Lariat. Love both! The tech, ride and just teh Ford name make me happy!

I've have had my 2015 S-Crew XLT 3.5L EB 4x4 for just over 3 years and have put over 80K mostly trouble free miles on it. The only issue I had was the LED bed lights coming on spontaneously and that required my truck to be in the shop for a couple of days and cost me about $200 bucks.. But other than that, its been great. Looked at Toyotas, glad I didn't go there. Liking having 20+ mpg lifetime fuel economy (actual calculations). Easy on tires and brakes (72.5K miles and still had tread life left, brake pads still good, rotors not so much, switched to aftermarket rotors and pads.) Only changed out because I was heading into hunting season and didn't want my truck in the shop.) This truck does everything I need it to do.

What's not to like?
I custom ordered my truck and waited nearly 3 months for it to be built and delivered, mainly because I could not find one with a tan interior and I detest dark interiors. I also wanted a Supercab and those are near impossible to find on a dealer's lot. Over 30,000 miles on it now and it has been flawless - oil changes and tire rotations is all I've done to it. Quiet and comfortable on long trips, and overall fuel mileage since I bought it calculates (by Excel spreadsheet) out to 20.9 mpg. Considering that the speed limit out here is 80 mph and traffic is of course moving faster than that, I consider that excellent for a full-size truck. With the 36 gallon tank I regularly don't bother filling up until there's at least 600 miles since the last fill-up. And I can't say enough about that 3.5 Ecoboost - closest thing to a diesel power curve I've ever found in a gas engine. Lots of power-sucking high mountain passes around here - 5,000 to 11,000 feet elevation. My other rigs with gas engines (no turbos!) really suffer, having to shift down and engine roaring around 4,000 rpm. The Ecoboost just loafs over those same passes, no downshifting, no fuss whatsoever. Makes me grin every time I drive it!

My 18 Lariat 5.0 has been my favorite truck of all the trucks I've owned. I have had none of the problems that others have posted including transmission problems, whistling, freezing doors or locks etc. I have no complaints. I traded in an 11 FX4 ecoboost that was also a great truck but I love the 5.0 and 10 speed in the 18 more.

First off.. Thank you Wilderness for starting 2019 on a positive note!
Happy New Year to you as well!
This 18 is my fourth since 2005. Every model is noticeably better in everything it does, when I move up.
That seems like an obvious statement, yet I'm very conscious of that because I bought three Silverado's.
A second owner 1989, a new 1995 and a new 2000.
From the used 89 to the spanking new 2000, they where cosmetically upgraded, but everything mechanical felt the same. It felt like I bought the same truck three times..
Maybe that was a good thing, but not when I'm spending more every time. Maybe everyone was so enamored with the PC's and the internet, vehicle's took a back seat.
Regardless, I want it more comfortable and more powerful with an improved ride. I expect the paint, the doors and the tailgate to fit better and to close better. An improved sound system and added technology should be the natural progression.. Not with Chevy, not during those years.
So, if I compare what Chevy did in those eleven years and what Ford did in the past thirteen years. It's not a fair fight.
Even though my 2014 was on the same chassis as my 05, they were worlds apart.
With my 2018 at 9,500 miles I'm actually happier with it now, than on day one. Since that tsb for the 10 speed, the 5.0 is now everything I was hoping 395 HP would be... a speeding ticket waiting to happen and that's what I love about it.
The only noise I have is, that minor pop during off throttle after I've really gotten into it. That's not in the engine, so as I've said all along, I have only praise for that 302. It growls, it's quick and it's powerful. The faster it goes, the faster it goes...
The Stereo is the first one I haven't wanted to rip out immediately. The small sunroof doesn't rattle, nothing inside squeaks or creaks and it's comfortable as hell.
Do I like my 2018? Yes I do! Do I love it.. I just might!

Thanks everyone for the good wishes and for the awesome posts!
I see that it's common that it really is a good feeling when we read good things about the trucks we love. Yes, we can love stuff, no problem with that LOL!
I like the fact we all have neutral opinions here on what it is that makes each love our truck. And as deserteagle69 said: what's not to like?
I don't know about you, but one of the reasons why I appreciate this Forum's brotherhood is because I love to see your trucks and "talk" about them. Thanks to the internet it's like if I could meet with you guys any day at the Club and look at your nice rims, nice tires, your great headlights and so on and share a good laugh to shake off another long harduous day!
They are not perfect vehicles and we support each other with knowledge and hints when questions arise. We learn with this!
Thanks to those that posted pics already - awesome rides! Keep them coming.
When I get back home I'll post some pics too.
