I had checked out a few Big Horn Ecodiesels from the previous generation and they were nice. They did come with some standard features that would be options on an XLT or lariat.

Nothing else about the Rams is enough to entice me though. It's not a complete package in my eyes, and having a soft leather dash and a big touch screen is not what sells me on a truck.

5,000 miles into my 2019 Ram ownership now. I've got the 12"screen, air suspension ,eTorque hemi, etc. All working as designed. I have had an oil change and tire rotation I have had 1 warranty claim - a molding on the exterior drivers door was replaced because it was misaligned.

Stop/start works fine. I hardly notice it. Mpg is 20+ highway 16 or 17 in town. The leather is much more supple than the 2016 F150 King Ranch I had. The sound system is nicer. The interior is quieter. Less buffeting when the pano roof is open.

The F150 was fine as is the Ram I go back and forth because I can jump generations when I trade ever couple of years because Ram and Ford are on different refresh schedules.

Without reading through so many comments, one big difference between Ram vs Ford is the F150 has a standard larger rear door on the crew cab option. I could hardly find any Ram or Chevy trucks with the larger rear door. And when I found the larger rear door, it was mostly with the shorter bed.

What? Then you probably werent looking at crew cabs. The Ram quad cab opens like a regular door, its not a reverse swing like the F150.

Or maybe you were just expecting the other trucks to have the stupidly large rear cab like the F150. Ram's cab grew 4" for the 2019 model year and the truck is now similar in size to the F150. A 2018 ram crew cab long bed was almost 8" shorter than my F150 screw long bed. The 2019 ram is only 2" shorter now.

I personnally think the F150 Supercrew cab is too big, but the Supercab is too small. I really wish there was something in the middle. You dont need 47' of legroom like we have.

It means anecdotal evidence is just that, anecdotal.

The short bed for the ram crew cab is 5'7", long bed is 6'4". Been that way for at least a decade. The quad cab came with the 6'4" bed.
