I got the letter last week. But it says if you haven't experienced the issue, then don't bring it in as it won't be fixed. WTF? So what if it happens months from now?

I'm bringing it in anyways and they're going to do the fix. If they ask if the door has ever improperly latched, I'll just say yes...

I ordered my truck in oct 2015 and took possession of it in December 2015. My warranty uses the oct date not the December (what I feel it should be). Manager said I can extend your warranty by two months but then you owe us another 1500 bucks because of rebate expiry blah blah blah. I told him to forget it

I think someone is pulling your leg, the warranty starts with the in service date.

He said they have a long enough grace period to get reimbursed for the rebates and at that point it wouldn't be my problem anyway because I would already be paying on a set amount.
My dealer said my pricing and incentives are good/safe - my paperwork's done and signed. they will just update the sell date once it's fixed and ready for delivery. If it's not true probably looking at a class action suit for all is with signed deals waiting for the fix.

I got fed up with waiting and was able to get my dealer to find me a different truck with same features (plus FX4 package). I was able to drive it home yesterday. Good luck to you guys who are still waiting, but patience isn't one of my strengths!

My truck isn't going in for this one,I don't trust the dealers to do it right, once they start tearing doors apart and pulling this and that, scratching paint,it will never be the same.

Angry Parts still not available for 17S33 door latch recall

Just finished a call to Ford Customer Service Corporate, talked to "Rosita" with the bad headset and south of the border I am sure. All she could tell me was "Parts unavailable and no timeline when they would be available". Methinks it's time for a nice juicy class action lawsuit. I am sure there are plenty of folks who like me made a purchase of a new 2017 Ford 150 only to be told by the dealer they cannot deliver the truck due to the 17S33 frozen door latch recall. Ford has known about this for a long time and they still have not addressed the issue but to release a recall. You cannot get your truck repaired as there are no parts available. I would love to know why the 2018 trucks are not involved in the recall, or..maybe they are??? If I had known about this, I would have not purchased the truck. I did call Ford Credit and they will "extend" your payments with fees waived due to this situation where your truck is still in the dealer's possession. Stay tuned folks, it's gonna get nasty I fear......
