Agree. That 1 person should have been "dealt with".

sorry guys! I should have just kept my mouth shut and not have engaged that guy. I thought there was a chance it would get closed so I tried to not name call anyone and bow out of the conversation quickly. I felt bad I contributed to it closing. I'm actually kinda surprised they closed it so fast. It just annoyed me seeing someone contribute off topic negative posts in a helpful thread who didn't even own the engine we all wanted to discuss.

Still happy with mine. I do find the start/stop feature to be a bit annoying lately as it is hottern' heck and the A/C cycles the engine on and off too much. So I hit the kill button for the auto start. I'll admit with the cheaper gas I've had my foot in the throttle quite a bit and my overall mileage at 12,500 miles is just under 20 mpg. I will also report the engine easily pulls 8,000 lbs of Bobcat and trailer. The truck does not carry a 2,600 lb boulder and stay anywhere close to level...but it had no problem hauling and stopping it. The boulder was in the bed.

Man, my truck is dirty....it gets the works this weekend and an oil change. The truck still has a fine shake on the highway that feels like out of balance tires although my dealership has replaced the tires and re-balanced. I hope it is the tires and not the driveline. This truck feels very good torque wise......reminds me of '60s era muscle cars. So, put me in the satisfied and happy I got the 2.7l engine.

Oh yeah, ran a tank of premium.....didn't notice any difference in performance or mpg. M1911

2600 pounds exceeds the max payload of all engine, cab, and gear configs unless you have the heavy duty package on the 3.5 eco with 17" wheels. Did the shimmy show up after trying to haul the 2600 pounds?

Also from everything I read you might need to run premium for several tanks before you see improvements.

My hybrid had the same problem. Hated it during the summer. Luckily there was an Eco button in the car that disabled the stop/start, and I used that all summer. Summer's in FL are hot and humid. Didn't mind it during the winter though. My summer / winter mpg's were about 6 mpg different. Mid 30's during the summer, low 40's during the winter.

You'd figure they would install an electric AC condenser so we wouldn't have that problem anymore. Or figure out some other way to keep the AC cool with the engine off.

So glad I got rid of that car. I hated it.

So far the 2.7L TT engine is great. To date, my 2016 XL Regular Cab gets over 25 mpg (5,000 miles on odometer & counting). My calculation (miles/gallons) is 2 mpg under the display number (~8 gas station visits so far). I do not tow, my commute doesn't have many hills, average speed is 35mph (mix of city & highway), use AMSOIL Signature Series 5w-30 100% synthetic, & Shell V-power 93 octane. I do work really hard to push the 25 mpg threshold (watch the dash mpg bar & adjust driving accordingly). yea,
