Ok I pulled the green connector. For everyone. The connector has numbers labeled on it. So takes guess work out.
The jump is easy as cutting small wire and then placing into connection 2 and then other part into connection 1.
Then electrical tape was used on grey wire to secure it from arching etc.
It works!
I put back to stock just now. I want to make sure no issues arise. Since I don't need this option right now.
But it is something I will do eventually and make permanent
Thanks for the post on this mod. Very helpful.

Or you live in the middle of nowhere and you want to light up your driveway as you go. Lots of uses. Most people don't try to offend others on purpose.

If you have to ask what kind of wire. I would stay away from doing this... You don't want to short out your BCM. That could be a costly mistake.
This is great info. I would probably add a spst switch to turn the function on and off you figured out for us... Thanks

I was showing one of my buddies these spot lights and of course he asked if you could use them all the time and I told him from the factory they shut off at 5 mph but I was waiting for someone way smarter than me on the forum to figure out this mod. I wasn't a matter of if but when.
Thank you for figuring this out.

I'm a fairly mechanically inclined person who does many DIY projects both at home, on my vehicles and firearms. I'm sure I can handle this simple modification.
So, again I ask...what type of wire should be used here? Gauge? Solid Core? Stranded? I assume it's solid core, so round or flat?
Thanks!
