For the 2020 F-150, Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat has been dropped.
It has been replaced with Lucid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat.

Same as Red Carpet Metallic Tri-coat (Expedition, Mustang, Shelby GT350 & 500)
and
Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (Edge, Escape & Plug-in Hybrid Explorer).

Yep. Waiting to see the new color. Seems odd to change one of the two colors that people are already paying extra for, but what do I know. I didn’t go to West Lafitte HS like the people that Ford hires to decide this stuff.

I thought it was "Rapid Red" for the F150, but never mind. I've only seen the new red online here, and it appears very similar, if not the same as Ruby. Only the color code will tell. I hope it's the same, [we all know how corporate america likes to change names], I've got PTMed parts I was hoping to use on a new 2020.

I'm sure it will be an ever so slight difference, not even distinguishable to the naked eye, but the color code will change.

Ruby Red Metallic color Code is RR.
Lucid Red Metallic color code is D4.

Both are tinted clear coats.

Lucid Red may be a shade darker.

I have the 2020 color chart and tried taking a picture of the two, but they didn't come out good.

Dagnabbit! They did it just to **** me off!! I know they did!!!!!
Well, looks like I'm gonna wind up with some RR fender badges, ovals, and mirror caps for sale in the fall.
