OEM Tonneau Cover
#4
When I was looking for a Ford OEM tonneau, the one that kept popping up as available through Ford was the Undercover Lux SE. The thing that jumped out at me was the ability to take it off and hang it on the wall if necessary. After doing more research on other hard covers (five panel, roll-ups, etc.) I finally settled on the Lux SE.
I'm happy with the cover and how quick and easy it was to install. The fitment isn't perfect (side gaps on my 2017 Lariat are close to 1/2", but that doesn't seem to be a problem; the rubber seal still sits well on the bed rails and so far it's been water tight.) Plus the Ruby Red paint does match precisely. And it mounts over the Ford OEM plastic bed liner without modification.
Downside - can't open tailgate with the tonneau down. I decided to disable the remote tailgate drop just to be safe.
So far, I'm happy with it. And yes; I've already had to take it off and hang it when I had to go pick up an over-sized box. Took about 5 min to take off and hang on the wall, and another 5 min to reinstall.
