Ever wonder why Toyota is so expensive? one reason is the cost of a rental fleet for service department...So if ford dealerships were to deploy a large rental fleet like toyota dealers do, you can expect for the cost of your next truck to be on the higher side. Sure it sucks when your truck is in the shop, but every automaker has problems. Makes me laugh when people go after ford with pitchforks and knives because they dont get a rental

Ford and GM have programs for dealers to have loaners available for customers, it is up to the dealer to take advantage of the program. The truck I bought was in that program.

It's very possible that you got some water with the last fuel fill-up. That happened to me once.

I was referring to this, not the loaner thing.

Actually, water was the first thing that came to mind when it started missing. But that does not square with the rest of the symptoms, or the codes pulled at the dealer.

Rental cost was higher.. $470, of which I might get reimbursed $250 by my ext. warranty. Got the FORD loaner on Friday. Really nice 2017 plug in hybrid Fusion fully loaded, but it's not a truck! Still no engine.
