Default Rough Morning

My week is off to a rocky start. Was dropping my kid off at school this morning and I decided to donate some paint to a concrete foundation.

As soon as this nauseous feeling passes I'll muster the energy to bring it to the dealers collision repair shop to see what they say. The bumper will obviously need to be repaired and the paint is cracked on the bed.

I'm thinking this will be quite costly...

Oh man, I am very sorry that happened.

I hate those concrete blocks when they take off the post and it's just a super low down concrete paint destroyer.

Hopefully the universe gives you a break and they can make it look really close to new without significant cost.

Just smile and move on, we all make mistakes and it's in the past now.

Crap... It looks dented as well. You got unlucky.

Good luck with the repairs. It won't be very expensive, but still an expense.

Captain positivity here to make you feel better about your day-the bumper is modular so getting that one section fixed shouldnt be a major deal. On top of that, basic white is usually a fairly easy color to match.

If you ever wanted an off-road type bumper, here is your chance. At least that's what I would tell the wife

I got tagged in a parking lot. Found the steel section on eBay already painted for $100, new step pad from Ford is like $70. Swapped it myself for free in an hour. That would leave you with just the bed the deal with fixing or touch up and live with it.

Yep I would try to find it used if possible. If not then look for an aftermarket solution. Just double check what you get for a rear bumper. Sometimes the stock towing set up won't work with it.

Mine cost about 400.00 to get fixed at a Ford dealership body shop.

I almost copied your link from another post.

I really hope that of all of the trucks damaged in Texas and Florida that they at least let them be parts vehicles (donors) to all of the other trucks in the country. I mean I just hate the idea of turning it all into scrap metal even if they are totaled.
