While I wish I had the 36 gallon tank (just because), my bladder gives out before the fuel tank.

Wife has an Edge which I think has a 14 gallon tank. I refuse to take her car on trips for the simple fact we can't go more than 3 hours without filling up.

My 2013 F150 4wd 5.0 will go from east of Cincinnati to St. Louis and still have enough gas for 150 miles and that's with a 26 gallon tank. If we take my wife's Mercury Mariner there is no way we can get there on one tank. Probably no place to put a bigger tank on those cars.

You got OVER 715 miles on one tank of gas?!?
That 2.7 must sip fuel like the Queen sips tea!!

I have a 3.5 and get 17 to 18 mpg. When I fill up it usually shows about 580 miles to empty.

I feel your pain. My wife's CR-V has somewhere around a 13-14 gallon tank. Granted it gets 29 mpg on the highway but it seems like I'm always stopping for gas when we take it on trips.

Yeah, my DTE always shows 999km's for a long time after filling up. I switched it to miles for this pic:

But that DTE is with my current average winter mileage which is between 22-24 MPG with mixed city and highway driving. Summertime with summer tires and clean gas gets me much better, especially on long highway trips.

Dang I need to look into that 2.7 for my next one.
That's great!
