Road trip with a Ford Edge and fillups/why I love the F-150

While I wish I had the 36 gallon tank (just because), my bladder gives out before the fuel tank.

My 2013 F150 4wd 5.0 will go from east of Cincinnati to St. Louis and still have enough gas for 150 miles and that's with a 26 gallon tank. If we take my wife's Mercury Mariner there is no way we can get there on one tank. Probably no place to put a bigger tank on those cars.

I feel your pain. My wife's CR-V has somewhere around a 13-14 gallon tank. Granted it gets 29 mpg on the highway but it seems like I'm always stopping for gas when we take it on trips.

But that DTE is with my current average winter mileage which is between 22-24 MPG with mixed city and highway driving. Summertime with summer tires and clean gas gets me much better, especially on long highway trips.

That's great!
