RainX is a cheap silicone based product that will contaminant your windshield in the event you get a rock chip. The reason that automotive glass shops stay away from this stuff.

I recommend Aquapel or a similar product.

I wouldn't worry too much about a trip like that... Just check your fluids when you get there and then drive back... My drive home to Ontario is 3800km's one way and I usually do it in one shot non-stop except for gas, bathroom breaks and eating... Bring lots of music and have fun!

The metric system is not used in Vegas, and the dollar is calculated differently. Keep enough money to get home. Also you will be handed a lot of flyers and business cards...... They are not all legal. Enjoy the United states, the drive and be safe.

Stashing a separate CC along with enough cash to get home from Vegas is always a good idea. Crazy stuff happens there lol

Unless you're not concerned with fuel economy over ride comfort you may want to consider running the tire pressure a little on the high side for better fuel mileage.

I travel a lot for work (3weeks on the road 1 week home) My bank and CC company have a program that I can get single use cards if I travel out of the states. They link to your account but you put the money on them that you think you will need. When ever I travel out of the states or to Portland (CC number stolen three time there), I do this.

Any tips or suggestions on things I should do or bring with me? I don't plan to bring everything under the sun, if I really need it I can buy it on the way. I was going to bring a tool kit with bottle jack and stands until I realized my lift kit probably puts it out of reach anyways. I'll just call a tow truck if I get that unlucky.
don't run out of gas..... take plenty of Red Bull
