Default Reverb sound when listening to NPR, sat system

My 2015 with Sirius has a really irritating sound that reminds me of reverb units of yesteryear. NPR only. If I get out of the sat radio system and into fm, the station sounds normal. Anyone else have a problem with that station or any others? M1911

I dislike the quality of Sirius/XM in my truck. FM and Bluetooth streaming sound ok but Sirius does not.

All other stations sound fine as does am and fm. Just the one channel....of course I haven't listened to every channel available. M1911

So all of the other channels sound fine with the exception of NPR? I think Occam's razor applies here and NPR's sound engineers suck as bad as their programming.

Ha....I haven't listened to em all of course and the rabid TV preacher when I'm out in the sticks probably comes through loud and loud....Just odd that this one station sounds funny. Probably should call Sirius. I don't know if you youngsters, I'm old, remember reverb units. These were pretty cheesy contraptions you could add onto your ratio to give it an echo sound. I never liked them. Of course if you are a musician and have a recoding studio....I use my computer....reverb is sometimes still used. But that is as close as I can describe the sound. The rest of the channels that I have listened to come in nice and clear, good highs, good bass, no reverb monkey business. Just though this might be a known issues and someone might know what to do about it. Thanks... M1911

Yell at Sirus/XM. Seriously.

Their compression is awful - and by automakers make their sound systems worse, not better, by trying to accommodate the lousy sound quality.

Did a few minor mods to the sound system - really sounds great playing low compression MP3s, but S/XM sounds, well, unlistenable now.

NPR in an F150 always sounds horrible by design.
Sounds great in a Prius though.
