With the cover/trim off you will see the 2 bolts and two nuts that you need to remove. Unplug the connector and give the mirror a little tug and it's off.
You can pry the switch up from the rear of the trim...it just snaps in. and there are tabs at the front of the trim that go under your panel. Just carefully lift at the rear and pull back. That off the electrical connector and screws holding the switch to the trim.
It's easy. I did the entire switch over in 10 minutes max.
I would start your truck once everything is back together and shut the truck off and restart it again. For me it had to learn the the mirrors were installed. They didn't work properly the first time I started the truck. They were fine the second time and have worked perfectly ever since.

Platinum will be plug and play. Take the cover off behind the mirrors...carefully, and you may still break a clip. I bought a set of plastic trim tools for 5.00 to pry the trim off and same with door switch. With the cover/trim off you will see the 2 bolts and two nuts that you need to remove.
