They local shops jack the prices to cover what THEY paid to get the thing shipped to them.

truckchamp.com - call them, best prices on the Retrax.

That's going to be fairly normal. As you use it, it will get a little easier, but there will always be some friction there @ the end. If not, I'd be worried that it wasn't sealing well.

My weatherstripping is 1/2" also. Maybe I'll give retrax a call. Thanks for all of the help!

I'm sorry if someone has already asked this, but where did you guys drill holes for the drainage tubes? I have a spray in bed liner that has covered up the rubber stoppers in the front of the bed. If anyone could post a picture it would be greatly appreciated.

I have the factory spray in liner and drilled the holes for the drain tubes in the oval plastic plugs on each side of the bed front wall. You should be able to find these oval plugs as they are probably 2X3" or so.. Don't have a picture.

Thanks! That is what I thought I should do, but just wanted to make sure.

I just poked a hole in the rubber grommets. Didn't want to drill holes.

This is where your tubes should go.

Took me a little while to find this thread again, glad someone brought it to the top. I'm looking into buying a super crew 6.5' bed and was curious that since the added foot is to the front of the bed, did that move the box link back enough that you can get the stowable loading ramps and a Retrax Pro MX to fit? I saw pics earlier in the thread that show it's no way in heck going to work with a short bed but curious about the longer bed for those that have it. Maybe I missed it if someone posted a good pic.

Sorry for the poor quality but it was dark when I saw the 6.5' bed question. This is the Retrax Pro on my 6.5' bed, it does cover about 1/2 of the box link. The cleat is snug against the side of the canister.
