Default Results: Stock 20" Wheels, 1.25" Wheel Spacers, 35x12.50s

So its done. Had my 1.25" Bora Wheel Spacers installed today. Leveled front maintains a 1/2" rake (2.5" I believe, installed by dealer). 35x12.50 Toyo R/Ts.

Tire was 1/8" of an inch from front crash bar. Went ahead and removed them as I might do aftermarket rims with less offset down the road. Was prepared to remove going in. Had to cut a small portion of plastic in the rear of the well as it was within an 1/8" of rubbing there. No rub on rear crash bar, but close within a 3/8" inch. Thinking the porta power route might have worked better and enabled pushing both bars out a bit. Happy with the results!

Sanded hubs for good contact:

Bars removed:

Crash Bar happy!

Rear of well plastic trimmed, crash bar untouched:

Very nice results! Makes a statement, but not over done. Thanks for the pics.

I have a 2.5 inch level and 285/65 ko2s. I have been back and forth with the spacer idea. It seems as if some guys have problems with rubbing when using 1.5 but after seeing your tires (which are a little bigger than mine) and 1.25 spacers I would imagine I could run the 1.25 with crash bars intact. Thanks for the post

how much of the factory stud was protruding through the spacer? do you think a 1" spacer would fit with the recesses in the back of the stock wheels?

Good question and I wish I would have measured before we put the wheels on to be able to share with you and others that have had this question. I will be taking it back to the shop to re-check the torque on the bolts next week and I can measure then. In the moment I was focused on if they would fit for the 1.25 inch but they did. I imagine if you take your wheel off and measure the bolt protrusion on your current set up the spacer measurement then measure the back pocket on your you could figure it out.

It might. Mine equates to +12 offset on 8.5 rim.

When I installed 1.5" Fred Goeske adapters, the factory studs were pretty much flush with the mounting surface of the adapter. I'll be putting 1.25" adapters on the rear to see how that looks with 1.5" on fronts; with 1.5" all the way around the fronts look perfect but rears look pushed out a bit ... despite front and rear having the same track width according to Ford spec.

I've actually had the 1.25-inchers for a few weeks now ... just haven't found time to throw them on. When I do, I'll measure how far out the studs sit and take a photo. I have another thread on the Fred G's and will post the follow up there.
