The dealer (and various vendors) list a wide variety of door handles. As far as I can tell, the paint to match (PTM) door handles are only listed as being 'with keyless entry' which I assume means the pillar keypad, not the keyfob remote. Is this simply because the factory color matched door handles (I'm not talking of those that have chrome handles) are only on models that have keypad entry, or is there an actual mechanical difference? I ask because that seems to be the only way to order them and I don't want to be in for any surprises because my STX does not have keypad entry. The actual key hole for the drivers side is there on the PTM handles I want to order, so I'm hoping that is all that matters.

Just to clarify, I'm not interested in modifying my textured ones to be painted; I want the actual PTM door handles because I am going to have PTM mirror caps (and also possibly a three bar Lariat grille) also painted at the same time by a body shop, then installed. I think it will look best that way.

Not sure what I'll do for the tailgate handle as my truck has only the rearview camera and not the trailer light that is on the right side of the handle. As far as I can tell, the only way the PTM tailgate handle comes is with the hole below (which I need given my factory backup camera) and with the hole to the right for the trailer light (which I don't have). Also, the PTM handle only seems to come with Lariats (and maybe above) and I think they have a button under the pull handle. So the PTM handle may not work for my STX...any thoughts are appreciated.

I added PTM handles and mirror caps to my truck. Only having 2 door handles makes things easier and cheaper.
They don't make the tailgate handle I needed in a PTM version so I had to sand off all of the texture on mine and paint it.
