Default Replacing Lariat interior trim with metal pieces from platinum

One thing that really bugs me about my new Lariat is the cheap grey/silver plastic they use throughout the entire interior. This was not a cheap truck and I feel it should have a higher quality trim without having to go up to an overpriced platinum.

Has anyone replaced their plastic trim pieces with the brushed aluminium pieces in the platinum?

I'm hoping to find some from a wrecked truck, or get my hands on the part numbers so I can see how much they cost new.

There are quite a few different diagrams you need to look at to get a complete set of part numbers, but here's a starter link

#16 and #17 is the outside air vent trim
#18 and #19 is the center air vent trim

Wow it's about $340 for those four pieces alone! I think I'll try to get my hands one some parts from a wrecked truck.

+1 would be cost effective and can be removed if you want to sell or get a new look.

Anyone ever give this a go? Not only do I dislike the plastic look of those trim pieces in my Lariat, but I知 hopeful the real metal in a Platinum will squeak / rattle less. Does someone have a close up up their Plat trim they could post?

Thanks sir. The piece that covers the center console. I might try to get away with just swapping that.
