Missed this one. The P552 is just the platform code, not a generation. P552 designated the new aluminum body and lightweight chassis, which will remain the same for a long time, even though the 13th gen that came out in 2015 still shares many parts as the 2014's and earlier, like suspension/steering/drivetrain components, as well as the same 3.5L and 5.0L engines.

Platforms are also designated as shared chassis'. Just like the VW A-platforms, which are shared between the Audi TT and the VW Golf, but they are entirely different cars even if they share the same platform. Another example is the Nissan FM platform which the Nissan 350Z sports car and Infiniti FX SUV share, even though one is a car and one is an SUV.

The P552 platform is also shared with the Lincoln pickup truck...

TL ; DR : Platform code does not equal generation.

Keep in mind the 2009-2010 trucks had a totally different engine line up than the 2011-2014 models. All within the same generation.

2009-2010
4.6L 2V
4.6L 3V
5.4L

2011-2014
3.5L
3.5L ECO
5.0L
6.2L
