I take it back. I don't care. I don't have to deal with cleaning up arguments which will increase. Have fun mods

I dont think the 2018 model year would be considered a new Generation. Probably the next gen would be 2020/2021. The 2018 is just a re-fresh, kinda like the Mustang between 2012/2013 and 2017/ 2018

Correct. 2018 F-150 will keep the same P552 name code at Ford. 2018 is not a new generation of F-150 and doesn't need a separate subforum.

Well not only is it a facelift, but there's engine and transmission changes across the entire lineup.
Any time this happens, it's labeled a new generation : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_F-Series

Right, but with the 2018, they all have 10-speeds except the new entry 3.3L engine, they now have a diesel (also 10-speed), and all engines with the 10-speeds have stop/start including the 5.0 and diesel. The 3 current engines have also been changed and improved.

3.5 and 2.7 are already offered in 2017, although the 2.7 is supposed to have some fuel delivery changes from what I understand.
10 speed is already available in 2017.
Start/stop is already on select 2017's.
Other than a new diesel option, the rest is pretty much a "face and butt lift".
Seems evolutionary rather than revolutionary to me....
