Air Dam Removal

Thanks.
Bought them off ebay from the seller, joe1966fairlane.
Thanks. That was my intent as well.
Full disclosure, I didn't come up with this trim style on my own. I saw it in a thread here, just can't remember who posted it to give them credit.

Ok, I couldn't stand the unfinished look with the dam missing so I trimmed mine following the stock lines using a dremmel with a cut off wheel and a finishing sander.
Here is my fathers Lariat w the stock air dam and mine below it w the trimmed air dam.

I recently ran this trail with a few minor rock climbs and had a supercell t storm come through which almost washed me down the mountain. But despite rock crawling and running deep ruts and driving over logs...never even scraped my front air dam. So no need to pull it for "front approach" imo

Here is what I did to mine. Since I kind of liked the small lip at the bottom but still wanted it shorter, I shortened it from the top. With it still on I scribed with a set of dividers along the contour where it is bolted along the lower bumper plastic. Then cut it along the scribe line and drilled new holes. The orginal upper section was then used as the holder for the nuts and also supported the newly shortened air dam. Thought it would be a bit floppy and figured I would have to ad some more screws but it is just as sturdy as original. Shortened it by about 2 inches
