Looks great! Just what I was thinking of doing to cover up the lower A-arm mounting points as well as the bolt holes left from removing the air dam.

Default Removed my air dam. Looks unfinished, may shorten it and reinstall it.

This is my first 4wd truck so I wanted as much ground clearance/ approach as I could get so I pulled the air dam. Did the same thing on my 2013 Platinum but the plastic under bumper was a little more finished off and looked fine. I bent up and cut off the plastic tabs and can plug the holes but I think I'm gonna trim down the air damn to 1" rather than the factory 4" and reinstall it. Jumped on the expressway for an hour on the way to do an inspection way down south and noticed .5 drop in gas mileage but I haven't started using 93 yet so that will jump back up anyways. No noticeable wind noise or peddle shutter some have mentioned either.

With and without...
*Did some light off roading/mud slinging earlier today and used the 4A mode, pretty cool. We have had a solid two weeks of rain down here so one of my fishing spots was flooded/muddy. I wouldn't have dared it in my old 2wd Platinum but this truck made it through with ease.

Another air dam thread?

https://www.f150forum.com/f118/air-dam-removal-297511/

Always amazes me when people are so excited that they removed a piece of plastic.

You said you lost MPG, which you should. But the "No, I didn't" people will jump on soon, followed by the "93 is a waste of money unless you're towing" and "you won't see an increase in MPG that is cost justified".

LOL, I know I was gonna Tittle it "First mod".... because I myself laugh at people who think that's "modding".

All that being said and after having a few laughs, I definitely lost .5 mpg and my last vehicle being a 2013 Platinum Which also had a 3.5 EcoBoost I most certainly seen gains from .8-1mpg increase when running 93 octane. And I tow, albeit a 700lb ATV on a trailer the 93 oct. helps.

reduces air under the truck, reducing drag and improving fuel mileage. It also creates a low pressure zone right behind the radiator to help move hot air down and away from the engine.

plus it's a warning that you're about to hit something more solid and more expensive if you keep going down that trail.

I agree with the thought of the truck appearing unfinished with the air dam off. Many are compromising by trimming it so it doesn't look so dorky hanging way down low. Taking about an inch off (up to the first line) makes it look much better.
