Again, easiest thing as mentioned already,.......just leave it alone and leave the remote start fob at home before we see another thread titled, "Guys, I yanked out a box and now my truck won't start!"

Just remove all wires and that should be that. However, if there are signal-interrupt type wiring/connections, then that slightly complicates things, as you will have to remove auxiliary wiring from trucks harness and fix the wire that was cut.
I hope some of that makes sense.
Ive done quite a bit of remote starter installs, its pretty straight forward to uninstall, just carefully remove the wires.
Before all this, disconnect battery.
I found some modules, a CompuStar CM-DC3 and a CompuStar Dronemobile X1-LTE module. Ironically, the LTE module has an "attach this sticker to door jamb" serial number stuck on the module itself, up inside the dash. The page for the CM-DC3 says it can be hardwired, or use a T-harness, so far it looks like they used the t-harness method. I did not see any signs of the system being spliced into any wiring harnesses besides the T harness on the OBD port, but I also didn't get a good view of all sides of the unit at this time. I pulled the kick panel down (pull from the top, not the bottom) and removed the metal shield behind it to attempt to get a better view but I couldn't see all sides of the control module. I did find the LTE module was just dangling loose, it was formerly held on with double stick tape. I reassembled the dash and confirmed the pickup still starts, I don't want to become another statistic for blindly ripping boxes out from under the dash.

At the very least, this has inspired me to look into what features this alarm has or might support since I now know it has an LTE modem and this can support a mobile app to start the pickup. I think this control module also supports using the factory key to remote start by pressing the lock button 3 times, I would really like to have that feature instead of the gigantic two way LCD FM remote. The downside is I am minimally paranoid now simply because I know the previous owners probably used to have an app to start the pickup from anywhere as well as track the pickup via GPS. I haven't seen any signs of fowl play and I doubt it will happen, it's just slightly frustrating and at the very least I think I should call CompuStar's tech support to ask them if there is anything I need to do to ensure the PO can't access the system anymore. CompuStar lists 4 dealers in my area, 3 are Best Buy but 1 is a car audio shop listed as a CompuStar Pro dealer.
