I cannot tell you how many times I've gotten "Wow, is that your FX4 over there?" .. Yes, people talk about them as FX4's, thinking of the previous generation, where it was a trim level. But whatever. I like it and it adds to my otherwise pretty cheap model truck (XL Sport/STX).
That's some strange thinking going on inside your head.

while in most cases the sport model isn't the cheap model.. in the honda/nissan world the Sport model is the cheap model while both companies offer leather and v6 options in the Accord and Altima the sport versions are usually a 4 cyl version with cloth seats and a spot badge

Bump.

A good way to remove the residue left behind from the decal is with a quality carnuba car wax. Should be safe to your paint. This is what I did.

I took my FX4 off as well as the badging on the back. Wish the quarter panel badges didn't mount the way they did or they too would be off.

I removed my oem FX4 stickers from my bed as I did on my Tacoma TRD Offroad, not a fan of the red lettering, then replaced them with carbon fiber-ish ones. If/when you do... two very important things... 1. Use a blow dryer or heat gun to warm up the sticker and pull S.L.O.W.L.Y. otherwise you will leave adhesive on the paint. 2. If you install a new decal, you may have just a few very small air bubbles after you finish the application and squeegee, don't obsess over them, they will evaporate through the vinyl in a week or so. I poked a pin in a few of the larger ones... then finally said to myself, oh well, I can't see them when I step back... a week or so later they were completely gone.

A long thread and it all boils down to one thing, YOUR opinion. It is your truck and up to you to decide if you want them on or off.

Well put, I took mine off, but I do like the looks of some on the correct setup, it’s all subjective to what you like and no ones option is better than your own! Dilly Dilly!
