REMOTE START (If Equipped)
The remote start feature allows you to
pre-condition the interior of your vehicle.
The climate control system works to
achieve comfort according to your previous
settings.
Note: You cannot adjust the system during
remote start operation.
Turn the ignition on to return the system
to its previous settings. You can now make
adjustments normally, but you need to turn
certain vehicle-dependent features back
on, such as:
• Heated seats.
• Cooled seats.
• Heated steering wheel.
• Heated mirrors.
• Heated rear window.

I didn't think that mine came on either, seeing as the switches were not lit and I didn't leave it running long enough for them to actually warm. But after leaving it run for about 5 minutes, I can definitely confirm that they do come on but the switches do not light up.

2015 302a manual controls. My heated seats definitely do not come with remote start. They haven't since I bought the truck as the post shows by jd50i. I used it at 7 degrees the other day till the run time timed out. Climate controls worked in last position set but no heated seats.

My 2016 302A heated seats come on automatically when temps are low enough during remote start. Nothing lights up and not everything stays on when key is turned on, I have mine set to automatic.
Make sure you have gone into;
Vehicle
remote start
climate control
select either last setting or automatic

FYI... Remote started for 7 min after work. Seats cold, wheel was hot. No sound from the seat heater fan. After I hit start the temp display showed 42 degrees.
With FORscan I did a module reset on the BCM, DSM, and some other module with the word Seat in the name. A few hours later I tried remote starting again. Seat and wheel were hot and I could hear the seat heater fan going full bore. Anyone else experiencing this issue may want to give this a go.

The issue I'm having is that I KNOW that my heated seats have come on during cold temps with remote start. They get VERY warm, so it's obvious when they're on. The problem is, they haven't been coming on lately. I've changed nothing. Always left the setting to "Auto".

Unfortunately, the manual is not perfectly clear about what specifically happens with the heated seats if the IPC is set to either 'auto' or 'last used'.
Posts that say 'mine works' or 'mine never works' are pretty useless unless they also state what IPC setting is used, which climate system is installed in the truck, what the ambient temperature is, and how long the truck was allowed to run in remote start mode.
I know there are many threads about this feature, but I haven't seen one yet that unequivocally answers peoples' questions about how it's designed to work.
I don't have the answer, either, BTW.
