Remote Start - No Heated Seats

I'm having a weird issue with Remote Start, where my heated seats are not kicking it, though the heated steering wheel still does. I'm tried enabling / disabling the feature in the IPC, but no joy. Anyone else experience this issue? Is there a module I should try resetting with FORscan?

Subscribed to this thread... I also find it annoying that the heated seats don't come on upon remote start. I hope it's a feature that can be activated. Thought it would have been automatic, though...

It is supposed to be automatic, if you have seats and steering wheel set to auto in the IPC remote start settings. My cooled seat were kicking for remote start all summer, but for some reason my heated seats are not.

Documented many times.

You need to a) set them to Auto and b) have the temp be below 23 degrees F.

I don't have the auto climate control (if that's what you are talking about) nor do I have the heated steering wheel - I only have the heated seats... XLT 302a.

It would be stupid that the seats don't come on upon remote starts in the morning when the temperature outside is cold and if you left them on the night before.

I tried and, even if they are on when I shut the engine off, they don't come on when I remote start it after.

Many discussions, I gave you the criteria.

Are you sure about the 23 degrees F for the seats to kick in? Seems awfully low, and why does the steering wheel kick in so much earlier?

Stupid or not your system is performing as designed. I agree that if you set the climate control to last setting you should also be able to set the seats to last setting.

Not the auto climate control. It's the auto/manual setting in the information screen (dash cluster). I had mine on auto initially, which on remote start AND depending on temperatures surrounding the truck, it will select heat or cool. I now have mine on manual and it will save the last setting I had before I turned off the truck.

My issue is that the heated wheel is turning on - indicating the system thinks it is "cold weather," but the seats are not.... I'll look for DTC and try resetting some modules with FORscan.
