If I still want the seat heat to operate, I need to turn them back on manually.

If you have the setting on 'auto', it does what it thinks you need, then when you turn the key it reverts back to whatever you left the blower and temperature control on and seats are off (because they are off by default when you start your truck with the key even if you left them on when you shut it off).

I also have 302a, mine works perfectly fine.
Exactly how mine works. its weird after I jump in while its running and blower cranking away and I turn the key and the blower stops.

One references 40 or below. Next poster says 23. All say lights don't come on, and to set them to Auto.

This one says 14, he said 23 prior... https://www.f150forum.com/f118/possi...8/#post4556677

funny because it has been between 30-40F the last couple weeks and my heated seats are always on. Temperature threshold is not true as you stated.

I think the issue with us 502A package guys is that the heat is provided via forced air and not a heating element. This takes much longer to heat the seat up, which is why we may not notice it during the short remote start duration.

Just a theory.

I don't have heated seats. I linked to several posts that repeatedly state temperatures.

My cloth seats don't warrant heating, never needed them.

so why reply? Stating there are other forums about it isn’t helpful.

Providing the links for people to do further research is exactly what a forum is for. Don't click on them if you don't want to.

My XLT 302a works the same. I love it!

I guess us 302a owners are lucky when it comes to heated seats.

REMOTE START (If Equipped)
The remote start feature allows you to
pre-condition the interior of your vehicle.
The climate control system works to
achieve comfort according to your previous
settings.
Note: You cannot adjust the system during
remote start operation.

Turn the ignition on to return the system
to its previous settings. You can now make
adjustments normally, but you need to turn
certain vehicle-dependent features back
on, such as:
• Heated seats.
• Cooled seats.
• Heated steering wheel.
• Heated mirrors.
• Heated rear window.

This could be my problem, but I swear last winter I never got into my truck and thought, damn these seats are cold. I’ll give it a nice long remote start after work to confirm I’m not just loosing my mind.
