I live in Florida and auto works great. After a few minutes, the truck is cold.

Agreed, here in the Midwest, the Heat Index gets up to 115. The AC in my 16 will freeze me out! In my previous 2012 screw, not soo much! The 12s AC was the worst AC ever!!!

I'm also not having any issues with 'Auto' here in Dallas. If I RS it blows cold until I put the key in. Once I put the key in I have to manually adjust it so it stays on Max AC.

In the winter it did a similar thing with the heated seats. RS would turn them on but after putting the key in I would have to physically press the button to keep it on.

My auto feature works great every time I auto start. Summer time my seats are cool and the inside is cool. Was 105 index today and my truck sat for about 5 minutes running and felt great getting into today

Does anyone know of Ford has a way to default the heated seats to last setting? Would be nice to have that come this winter for the remote start.
The heated seats will come on in the winter when it's set to auto. I think it has to be below 40ish degrees for them to come on. The red lights won't be on when running on RS, but the heaters are on. Once you turn the key to start, you will have to manually turn the seats back on.

That's good at least - how about the blower? Does it default to high and defroster? Or is it like the summer on low and on the floor?

It sounds like you have the auto climate with cool seats available in the higher trims. I'm coming from an XLT with the manual climate module.

I'm very interested in this as well. If my truck is 90 degrees inside, it seems to blow warm air. It feels like when you set the temp to cool, but the AC is off. Just blows cool air, but would take 30 min to cool down the whole truck.

I found Auto works fine, no problems.
But Last was not going back to where it was until after the key was put in.

Very satisfied with the Auto setting here as well. Its an XLT so no cooled seats, but the interior is cool when I get in it and Warm in the winter - if remote started enough in advance (5 minutes or so) or for the engine to be warm. Love the heated seats in the XLT, toasty in a minute, even if remote start not done.
