Same problem here with my 2018. Only thing I can think of is that I changed the bulbs over to LED. It's been a while since I did the job and don't remember if the bulbs made a good seal when plugged in the housing.

This seems to be a very common problem on the 2018+ trucks. I've seen 2 just in my neighborhood.

  • I only put in led reverse lights. Seals are good on the bulbs the passenger side has zero moisture inside. Truck is under warranty so it should be covered.

I installed Sylvania Zevo 7443 LED reverse lights when truck was new and so far, zero issues with moisture in either tail light housing.

Whatever you do, don't attempt to fix yourself. Someone else did and the Dealer refused to replace. When you take it in, they'll replace them. Let them know that the water will not be good for the bulb sockets.

Nope won't be fixing it myself my truck is still under warranty.

Also put oem bulbs back in and don't tell them you even remove the lens or replaced a bad bulb. I took mine in and during the conversation. I mentioned the bulb went out and I replaced it two weeks ago and the water wasnt there. She said oh no you should not have done that. You shod have brought it in. I dont know if ford will ok it now. I thought to myself who the hell brings a vehicle in for a burnt out bulb? She took pics of it then called two days latter and they replaced it. It has nothing to do with the seal at the bulbs. The lenses seal fails. It is a known issue all the way back to the 15 model.
