I went boss coilovers and rears...no regrets...had fox on my 14 and boss is a tad better on road manners.
Regardless toss the rears. My stock ones are like an accordion...little to no resistance and they only had 7k on them

Just put Fox 2.0s on the rear last night. Today will be the test drive. I'm amazed by the difference in force it takes to compress them vs. the OEM. After removing the stock I also noticed that my OEM drivers side shock had a couple inches of free movement at full extension. Truck is only 5 months old. Really lousy equipment for Ford to stick on their flagship truck.

If I'm remembering correctly it didn't take much force to compress the stock shocks on my 07, granted they did get swapped somewhere around 120,000 miles to 150,000 miles. My plan is to bolt in the bottom then compress the top to get the bolt in. Seems easier than trying to compress the rod.

Mudder Fudder - lots of info on the forum about the Fox 2.0 rear shocks, but I haven't seen as much input on the boss 2" rear shocks. Wondering if you can add anything additional about how they compare to the Fox shocks.

I had fox on all 4 corners on my 14, and the truck was as others described...firm, not harsh and had a more planted feel with good handling.
On the 16 I went with boss from reading tons of reviews and posts... the boss feels same as fox, only in my opinion and that of others I read.. has better road manners.
This is what I learned reading reviews and posts
Boss - best on road performance, very good moderate off road
Fox- very good on road, handles moderate off road a tad better than boss
King and Icon are better for extreme off road
Maybe others could correct if this is wrong?
Anyway I can not comment on boss rears only as all 4 corners went on at the same time.
Being mine is 99% on road and only mild offroad, Im happy with boss, but can't go wrong with fox as well

I greatly appreciate the info. I'm not quite ready to swap out all four corners but seems like the rears are a good place to start and not quite as expensive.

I already ordered the Fox rears. Got them for $213.12 shipped from Stage3. They're running a deal through the end of the year 18% off all Fox products. I'm torn between Fox or Boss for the front coils though.

The stocks were so light I could compress them at arms length like the old Bullworker commercials. The 2.0s are really tough to compress any more than about 2". I found I could exert much more force bolting the top first - that way I could push up the bottom with my back against the floor. I couldn't get it close until I jacked up the frame as high as I dared. Even doing that it took all I had to push the bottom end up enough to slip it into the bottom bracket. From there I wedged a screwdriver between the shock end and the bracket and was able to pry up slightly to align the bolt.

FYI, the road ride is significantly improved. I'm still on the fence on doing the coilovers. Not ready to part with the $ just yet.

Took 15 min to do mine using this method. Old ones popped out and FOX i had to lift the truck just a tad bit more. Jacking up the frame is the easiest way IMO.

This is my 2 cents worth. I got mine with 20% discount for a total of $894 shipped by the way.
I did the kit front coilovers and rear, the rear is where you notice the difference the most. When I first installed the coilovers i thought I made a msitake after a couple days of driving around, they were very bouncy. After a week of driving on them, I guess the settled out or broke in if you will. The ride is so good. Going over big dips reminds me of the baja trucks when they go over jumps and the shocks just absorb the landing, very smooth and not bouncy at all.
