Rear ended, bent frame.. HELP
Hello everyone, so today I was rear ended in my 2016 F-150 while at a dead stop at a red light. The car was an older Honda CRV and both of the airbags in their car deployed as well as a cracked windshield. At first, it seemed that my bumper mounts were a little bent. But, at closer inspection I found the frame is bent just behind my spare tire. I’m not sure how serious this is... frame damage is never good. The driver did not have insurance so I am freaking out a little to say the least. Has anyone else had this kind of issue? How bad does the damage look? Please give me your thoughts on how to move forward. I’m taking it to a body shop in the morning to be inspected.
Also... the truck drives perfect and doesn’t pull to either side, even on the interstate at higher speeds.

UPDATE:
body shop quoted me at $2380 for a new bumper, backup sensors, all new brackets, and to straighten the frame. I’m sort of relieved? Idk... the guy that hit me says he doesn’t have $2,380 but that we can set up a payment plan.. good thing is that my truck is drivable and has no alignment issues.

Go through your insurance company. They will go after the guy for reimbursement. Let them sweat his non-payment.

I am surprised you don't have alignment issues.

Sorry you have joined the group of us who have been screwed by being hit by *****hats with no insurance. Unfortunately it will cost you thousands over the next few years at no fault of your own, as they walk off scot-free.
I am also surprised that your alignment isn't out...she must have hit you square. Looking at your pics, the impact crumpled the frame in the crumple zone as designed. These trucks frames are modular. Body shops can unbolt the rear section of the frame and in bolt a new rear section in. I'm really surprised that you don't have ripples in the bed side/floor.

If the PD was called, there would be a report. Rear impacts are almost always the fault of the driver who hit you, and it would be a no-fault claim on your policy. Your insurance company would then go after the other driver, possibly going after wages or assets if they have no insurance. At a minimum, you want the PD yanking this uninsured driver's license.

The fastest way to watch your money disappear is to trust this clown with a payment plan.
Turn it into your insurance company. Pay your deductible, and let the insurance company do the work you have been paying them to do.
If the tool can't afford to insure his car, what makes you think he will make payments to you?
Good luck!

DTA...Don't Trust Anyone - especially those who want to make "payment plans". The other driver was driving illegally and they should be dealt with appropriately.
TIME TO LAWYER UP!!! Or claim on your insurance and watch your rates go up.
Good Luck..you will need it.
