Do you have a 2018 or older? The 2019 order guide listed the 2.7 Ecoboost payload package as only available in XL and XLT trims, I believe it is the same for 2020, but would like to hear it is something I could order.

Wow. Very interested! Would you mind sharing your configuration and payload numbers? Do you know the GVWR for the truck? I'd really like to know how much payload/towing capacity is added with this package. I am planning on low 1300lbs for a Lariat SCREW 2.7 4x4 501a with only a few other options: tow package, 36 gal tank, etc., but avoiding the heavy things. Would much prefer 1700lbs, especially paired with a hitch that would allow for an occasional heavier tow.

Sure, no problem!

The items you're probably interested in are as follows:

3:73 electronic lock RR axle
6900# GVWR package
2.7 V6 EcoBoost payload package

Also, trailer tow package, 502A, 36 gal fuel tank and some other items

Door sticker payload = 1667lbs

Let me know if there's anything else you need!

The 2.7 payload package is not available on Lariats in the United States. He's in Canada. You won't get 1,700 lbs payload on a 2.7 equipped Lariat in the US

On your 2.7 you will get the 9.75" if you order 3.73 locker. Otherwise you will get the 8.8".

Canadians are getting better choices in their truck packages? What was the point of the tariffs? I appreciate you sharing, F150Atlantic; wish I had the option available. I still can't get my head around the fact (?) that only (?) thing about your F-150 that is different from one that I can order here is a different stated payload limit based on a different declared GVWR. Whether it's called a "payload package" or just ordering the components of the package separately, you would think you would come to the same result.

Mike, interesting point about the locker vs non-locker 3.73 determining the 9.75. It probably explains why I haven't been able to understand why certain trucks have been equipped the way they were.

I still don't know if there is a reason for me to choose a 3.73 or a 3.55, and related, a 8.8 vs a 9.75. Is a benefit of a 9.75 offset by a negative of the 3.73? A benefit of a 3.55 offset by a negative of an 8.8? If the resulting truck will have the same stated payload/towing capability regardless, and if any actual effects are almost too small to measure in mileage or tonnage, why offer both?

Thank you both again-

It's the kind of thing that happens when government regulations are involved in business

There is no negative to having the 3.73. The 10 sp has enough overdrive that aero has a bigger impact on highway mpg the axle ratio. Note that in all these threads how you pretty much never hear about someone regretting getting a 3.73. It still confuses me how guys can put so much thought into which motor is slightly quicker or gets slightly better mpg and then skip the axle ratio that makes a bigger performance difference that any of the top three motors.

Someone posted earlier that my info was wrong. I never posted what is available on a build site this week, I stated what gets you the 9.75" Again: 3.5 Eco gets a 9.75". The NA V6, 2.7, and 5.0 get a 9.75" if you have a 3.73. Whether you get it through some sort of payload package or are able to select the option doesn't matter. Not saying it doesn't exist, but I have never seen a current gen 150 with a 3.73 that was full time open diff. As for the oil burner? Don't know.

I have seen it covered before, but a long time ago. What does the 9.75 look like? I have a 2.7 with 3.73 e-locker. It’s a RCSB, 2019.
The rear end looks the like the rear end that was in my 2016 SC, 2.7, 3.55 e-locker. Anyone have a pic of a 9.75?
