That applies to '15-17 models as well? If so, sweet, good to know

OP, what motor you looking at getting?
Either the 3.5 EB, or the diesel. Unfortunatly it seems that the marketing department at FORD has decided that diesel owner don't need any options...! No payload package there or max-tow package.

If we go this route, we will be putting 44's on it, and use it on glaciers and stuff. That puts a lot of stress on the drivetrain. So the need for the bigger rear end, and additional coolers. Also the added weigth of the tires kinda strips a regular truck of its offical payload. Need at least 2500 lbs of payload on the registration papers...!

This isnt true, and the most confusing part that Ford keeps changing the setups. I have read that 9.75 diff used to be avail with the 4x4, max tow and HDPP, but when I bought mine, the only way to get it was with the HDPP. Even some the options Ford listed as "not available on" were magically available for my build. What Ford is making available for the MY2020, I dont know.

If you want 44's, get the 3.5eb, it has 100 lb' of torque than the 5.0, and makes it at 2500rpm.

The 3.5 eb is a very sexy option. Turbos generate a lot of torque where you need it. Something SAAB realized in the 70's

The 5.0 is just old tech, and way out of the question.

As I understand it, the 3.5EB has a lot of untapped potential, since Ford markets a high output version in the Limited and the Raptor, the torque of that motor is above 500 lb-ft I think?

P.S. When/if you do get the truck bought and setup with the 44's you will be required to come back on here and post some photos out on the glacier !!!
