I am sticking with Ford. 2600 F150 sold every day, and there are 3-4 of us here. Not an alarming percentage.

Mine is a lemon because Ford couldn’t source a $10 part and my truck sat for 50 days. Is it frustrating? Sure. Annoying? Absolutely. But to be able to special order a new HDPP and roll all my current equity into it, restart my factory warranty (I’m 20+ months into ownership...) and restart my 2 year lemon law coverage? No brainer.

Not withstanding, the Reacquired Vehicle department are not Ford employees. They are a contractor Ford uses as a middle man between us and Corporate. So while the RAV customer service is absolutely TERRIBLE, Ford has been acceptable.

Im keeping final judgement until I see how much of the MSRP difference Ford will eat. My RAV specialist has been telling me $1000-$2000 off through this process, but I don’t have any numbers yet.

They are actually arbitrators. Dealers and car manufacturers now force buyers into arbitration to prevent them from suing. https://www.consumerreports.org/cro/...g-it/index.htm

I didn't know it, but its how they do business now, thats what the LL is all about and why it is best to hire a LL attorney.

Just wanted to follow up on with you to see what happened. My case file was unfortunately re-assigned to her and I honestly can't believe she is employed.. I've had two interactions with her and the last time she was questioning what kind of vehicle I really had that Ford was reacquiring. It took about fifteen minutes of me telling her that she must be looking at the wrong file, two callbacks before we were on the same page. I'm concerned if I called her today I would be back to square one with her.

I was lucky. My reps name was Wanda and she was great. I did have to explain a few things to her as she takes the information and just passes it along. So when I received my offer, the math was very wrong. She kept telling me it was right until I had her get a calculator and do the math herself. She immediately agreed with my assessment and pushed it back to the higher ups. I only had a few issues and after explaining myself, she took my issue to the next level for fixing. Wanda was a good rep.

Just an update for me: I went the MSRP swap. I played hardball and ford waived $2000 off the MSRP difference.

Nothing special, I just kept pushing and they gave in. I suggest you do the same! Total cost to me for my new 18 special order is $1620... now if I can just get my bone head dealer to return my phone call because I want to go pick up my new truck!

They probably aren't calling because they sold it to someone else.

J/K Enjoy the replacement.

Funny you say that because I’m sure there are a bunch of people looking for a HDPP and it pops up on my dealer’s website... doesn’t say “sold” or etc. f that!

Need some advice guys. My tomorrow will make the 5th time I have turn my truck in for a water leak. Parts of the Panoramic roof have been replaced, a TSB has been performed and the dealer sent it to a body shop where the bumper and windshield were removed in order to find the leak. The manager and assistant manager advised me that my truck came from the factory screwed up. Today I was told the dealership could not fix it and it would have to go back to the body shop and it was there over a month last time. What should I do?
