Raptor style bumper with skid plate from Galaxymotoinc
#11
GalaxyMoto (has the line running beneath the grille) never stopped selling theirs, and AFAIK all vendors ship all 4 correct letters with it.
Paramount/ProZ/Barricade (fully fits the grille opening) never stopped selling theirs either. Though the F and R went off the market for a bit. There's a very good chance that there's a new vendor for those letters though. Even if not, the D's can be modded into an F and R.
I also think this bumper looks much better than the Paramount one.

Yeah, I do miss my fog lights... Once the newness of this bumper wears off and I get that mod itch again, I'll look into making a bracket to mount some cube LEDs inside the cut outs... Looks like I can find a way to tap into what's left of my crash bars to mount, and splice into the existing fog light wiring so I can retain use of my factory light functions. I'm thinking maybe a 3" and a 2" inside each cut out since they taper...

Galaxymoto vs Paramount
Hey, just found this posted on an F150 FB page, here's the Paramount version grille and bumper on an F150 with no flares. You can see the grille doesn't have the trim line between the frame and bumper and the bumper isn't as wide (for those who don't like the idea of fender flares) but also doesn't have the skid plate. I believe the Paramount bumper is all metal tho and they're pretty close on price. I think it needs the flares for a wider look, but that's just my personal opinion

The Paramount version is very similar to the underside of a stock bumper, they both have a very subdued version of a skid plate molded into the plastic trim underneath the bumper. The big difference is this bumper has a separate (plastic) skid plate that attaches from the bumper to a mounting bracket and sits about 6" below the bumper itself, which really gives it that Raptor look

It looks really good, but I don't think I could replace a steel bumper with plastic. I wonder if you got into an accident if the insurance company could try and back out of the claim and state that the plastic non oem bumper allowed additional damage to occur? Do bumpers have to be DOT approved like lighting?
