No, because as stated above there is a screw under each set of controls next to the wheel that has to be removed. Sorry

Anyone have advice on how to solder the wires to the connector behind the glove box? I've seen a few posts here where people said they did that, but no pictures. What am you soldering them to? From the pics, it looks like the wires connect in in three empty slots on the front row. Can they be soldered like that, or are you stripping harness wires and soldering to them?

What are you trying o ask here? Did you make your own harness? If so, maybe post a pic so that I can describe what I think you are asking. If you bought one from me, pls let us know as well. In that case I wont need pics just confirmation which harness you are working with. (Just helps to see what you see)

Hey BG - I'm using your harness. Just got it in the mail yesterday. I'm trying to figure out how I attach the yellow, purple and gray wires to the grey connector behind the glove box. It seems like some people may have inserted the wires into the connector (this might have been a temporary connection) in the 3 spots I've indicated below while others maybe have been tapping into wires in the harness. Trying to get an idea on the best way to do it, because the just shoving the wires in there doesn't seem like it will work. I tried using some pins I have but they must have been too big because the paddles didn't work.

Since then, I tried using a multi-meter to test that the connection at the steering column was good and blew out half of my electronics. I grounded an alligator clip on the hinge to the driver's door and was checking for a signal individually against the Y/P/G wires. Anyone familiar with what might cause the following to no longer work:

Door locks
Driver and Passenger Windows
Moonroof
Power Mirrors
Dashboard Cluster (only the odometer is lit. the rest is black)
Heating and Air

Also, the 8 inch entertainment screen is working, but it and the radio stays on after I shut off the vehicle.

I think I'll leave the electrical stuff to the pros going forward.

Thanks!

Lol, bro what did you do?? Uhm in looking at your connector, I do not see the wires you need to connect to. Are you able to see the small numbers on that connector to verify pin #9, 10, and 11?

Ok, does your shifter have the upshift/down shift buttons like this on the top left (driver side)?

Yah. Mine looks just like that.

The numbers on my connector are below and shown as if you're looking at the connector from above. Seems that they changed some things for 2017, and this makes a lot more sense now.

So then I will strip a tiny bit of wire sheathing and solder from there. Thanks!

Now, I just need to figure out wtf I did to my electronics. Either I blew a ground wire somewhere or there's a master fuse that I knocked out. I'll probably start a new thread to see if anyone knows about that and to give some folks a good laugh. If anyone here has any ideas I'd appreciate it.

Thanks again.
