So I'm back again to considering the Rancho's since I have a new truck. I had Bilstein 5100's set to 1.75 on my old 2015 and I loved them but I'm going to level the new 2018 ASAP so I can sell the wheels/tires from the 18 as new and put my nearly new Fuel Vapors and Ridge Grapplers back on. Has anyone had both the Rancho and Bilstein and can give a good comparison? 2015 was a 2.7 Sport and 2018 is a 5.0 FX4.

Just purchased the Ranchos quicklift and the 9000xl for the rear. Where are you guys to getting them installed and how much are they charging? Will Ford dealer install these?

How much of a rake did you have after installing the Bilstein's at 1.75"?

Very minimal if any. I was very happy with the look and ride. The 2015 did have the 2.7 so I think it's a bit lighter than the 5.0.

the rears take about 15 minutes if you do them yourself. I did the fronts myself after being quoted anywhere from $300-$600. it took a while but I ran into an issue with the mounting holes not lining up. without the issue I probably could have done all 4 of them in about 2-3 hours. I had read as many issues with shops messing up the hubs as I had read individuals messing it up so if you hire someone to do it make sure they have done it before and know what they are doing. If you do it yourself read up on it. that gear in the hub is apparently really easy to mess up!

the mounting holes on the drivers side were not lining up. if I got the top holes in the bottom was off and vise versa. I dont know if stage3 sent me the wrong part (part number was correct) or if Rancho messed up the part. I already had my truck apart and one side done so taking them off and returning them and waiting again wasnt the path I wanted to take. I ended up lining up the bottom bolts and I drilled new mounting holes in the top...not an easy thing to do when you can barely see.

anyway that was a few months and a few thousand miles ago and I havent had any issues.

it raised my front end almost 3" and the truck is almost perfectly level now. I have all the shocks adjusted to 4 and really like the ride. All things considered I am satisfied

All you needed was a spring compressor to compress the spring just a little and you could have rotated the bottom of the shock to line it up.
