Default Question: Trade in 2017 STX SCAB Raptor Clone for 2014 Raptor SCREW?

Ok guys just need to get some opinions/thoughts/comments, etc etc.

I'm looking at a 2014 Raptor 6.2L SCREW with 85k miles. All appears in great condition. Sale price is $35k.

I'm looking at trading my 2017 STX 2.7L SCAB (Raptor Clone) with 50k miles. Again- great condition and had since brand new.

What pros/cons are there to doing this? Will I lose my @$$ on trade in (likely)? Why the heck am I so tempted to do this?

I wouldn't consider your truck to be a raptor clone by any stretch. Could try selling the aftermarket parts and going back to stock and getting a raptor but your going to lose your *** on trading in.

Honestly, I like your current truck better. I think you have a great build. That being said, the 6.2L V8 is a sweet engine.

100% you're going to lose your *** on that new of a truck but seeing as how you like raptors so much i would take the opportunity to own one if you can afford it

I would keep yours and buy the Raptor. It will only cost a few more dollars a month to go first class.

I wouldn't, I love the aluminum body and turbos way too much though.

It depends. You have a nice truck, but a Raptor is a Raptor. How bad do you want the real thing?

I appreciate the thoughts here - although as usual this sort of thread brings out the @$$holes on the board....

I say "Raptor clone" because almost everyone I have seen in the general population (gas stations, mechanic shops, blah blah blah) believe it is a "Raptor". I f*cking know it's not one and tell them so.

Obviously if you're a member of this board you will know it's not a Raptor that is NOT the point of the thread.

I know you like the look of the old Raptors and the V8 makes a nice sound but driving that steel tank compared to the Aluminum body is like going back in time. With a tune your 2.7 will make more power and be quicker.

Suspension travel can be upgraded to comparable levels on your truck and IMO your truck already looks better than the 2014. Unless you plan on Supercharging it and just dumping $$$ into it I personally don't see the point. What is it that you like about the 2014?

Off topic, but at first I thought the decal on the side of your truck said "pimping systems".
