Hello, I am new here. You guys have a great forum! I am considering a 2018 F150 XLT and have a few questions. I have been in Toyota's for the last 10 years, and I looking very seriously at trading soon. I like the look of the STX grill, but want the features of the XLT with the sport option. I realize there is a special addition sport XLT that comes with the grill, decals, and different wheels, but I do not care for the decals and wheels. I have considered purchasing the XLT and doing a grill swap down the road, but that sounds very expensive. I have also noticed a lot of the 2017 XLT's with a sport grill and no decals.. So, grill swap or wait to see if Ford offers the STX style grill on the XLT's? I hope am not too confusing and long winded. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm sure you'll be able to find someone to swap grills with you.

I had the same dilemma when I bought my truck about 11 days ago. My dealer offered to sell me the STX grill at cost if I wanted. I decided to wait and after a couple days I felt I liked the color coded grill with the XLT sport package more than the black STX grill I could've ordered and then have to swap. But that's just me.

Thanks. They quoted me $320.80 I believe for the STX grill. They told me that was their cost. Said retail price was $480.

That's not a bad price. And a grille swap only takes about an hour or two.
